Can I bring a pet to the grounds?

No, unfortunately we do not allow dogs and other pets on the grounds.

 

Can I bring food?

Yes you may, please use the picnic tables adjacent to the Marian Center.

 

Places to dine in or deliver

There are numerous restaurants in the immediate area, along with many fast food establishments.

Please utilize the many trash receptacles adjacent to the Marian Center and parking area.

 

Are there restrooms available?

Restrooms are available in the St. Joseph Center during normal business hours.

 

Places to stay

Sioux City has numerous hotels available for overnight lodging. Please check availability in advance.

 

Are buses allowed?

Most definitely. We welcome tour busses and motor homes as well. We have ample parking in your choice of two parking lot areas.

 

Tours

We welcome tour groups, bus tours, school groups to visit. We ask that you please contact our Tour Director, Margie Lancaster at 712-239-9158, or Margie.lancaster@trinityheights.com to set up your visit and so we can coordinate with our staff to be able to efficiently welcome you and your group with our limited staff.

We encourage self-guided tours. We have site maps available in the St, Joseph Center along with volunteers and staff to assist you in your path to take on the grounds. We offer a DVD showing of the grounds of Trinity Heights that will also enlighten you to your journey around the grounds and where you may find the many statues and shrines.

 

Are you open during the winter/inclement weather?

Yes….and no. We are open most days during the winter, with the exception of very snowy winter days. Please call ahead to check. We attempt to clear the sidewalks to the statues of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the winter months, please exercise caution to avoid slips and falls during the winter months.

 

Do you allow events?

Please contact our office to inquire as to if your group can utilize the grounds for your event. WE DO NOT ALLOW WEDDINGS, FUNERALS, CONCERTS, or any large groups on the grounds that may interfere, disrupt our other visitors. Trinity Heights reserves the right to ask anyone who is loud or disrespectful to leave the premises.

 

Do you allow wheels?

Please, no roller skates, roller blades, skateboards or bikes.

 

Are the grounds handicapped accessible?

Yes. All our sidewalks are handicapped accessible and during normal business hours we have wheel chairs available to use in the St Joseph Center.
